"Math's just not fun."

That's what Austin told me, sitting at a small daycare table covered in crayons, number charts, and tiny math worksheets. He frowned every time he saw numbers. And he wasn't alone.

Week after week, I worked with Austin and other kids, turning math problems into games. We used blocks, told stories, drew with colors. Math became something you could touch, see, and play with.

Then something magical happened — their eyes lit up. They started solving problems on their own. They actually wanted to do math.

That moment changed everything. I realized: math doesn't have to be boring. It doesn't have to be scary. It just needs to be taught differently.
